Our approach
Functional Neurology
Assessing and improving how well your brain and nervous system are working.
What is functional neurology?
Functional neurology looks at how well different areas of your brain and nervous system are working, rather than only whether there is disease or damage. Small changes in function can affect focus, memory, balance, mood, sleep and energy.
Because the brain can change throughout life, a process called neuroplasticity, targeted exercises can help improve how it works.
How we use it
- A detailed neurological examination, including eye movements, balance and coordination
- Assessment of brain-based symptoms such as brain fog, poor focus and fatigue
- Brain-based exercises tailored to your results
- Support for the body systems the brain relies on, such as blood sugar, inflammation and sleep
- Retesting to measure change
What to expect
Your examination is gentle and non-invasive. Most exercises can be done at home in a few minutes a day.
Functional neurology is not a replacement for medical neurological care. If we find anything that needs further investigation, we refer you to your GP.
